Set up Visual Voicemail for iPhone

Notes:

• Visual voicemail is included in all Enhanced Voicemail options. If your plan does not include visual voicemail or you are outside data coverage you may check your voicemail messages by pressing and holding the 1 key on the dialer keypad and following the voice prompts.
• To enable visual voicemail you must have updated to the latest carrier settings (14.1 or higher). For more information on updating your carrier settings please visit: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1970.

Set up Voicemail

1. Tap Voicemail.
2. iPhone prompts you to create a voicemail password.
3. Record your voicemail greeting.

Change your greeting

1. Tap Voicemail.
2. Tap Greeting.
3. Tap Custom.
4. Tap Record.
5. Record your greeting.
6. Tap Stop.

Review and re-record your greeting

1. Tap Play.
2. Tap Record again.
3. Tap Save when you're satisfied.

Use default greeting

1. Tap Voicemail.
2. Tap Greeting.
3. Tap Default.

Set an alert sound for new voicemail

1. Go to Settings > Sounds.
2. Turn New Voicemail on.

Notes:

• The alert sounds once for each new voicemail.
• If the Ring/Silent switch is off, iPhone won't sound alerts.

Change the voicemail password

1. Go to Settings > Phone > Change Voicemail Password.

Check voicemail

1. Tap Phone, iPhone shows the number of missed calls and unheard voicemail messages.
2. Tap Voicemail to see a list of your messages.
   

Listen to a voicemail message

1. Tap Voicemail.
2. Tap a message.

Notes:

• If you've already heard the message, tap the message again to replay it. Use Pause and Play to pause and resume playback.
• Once you listen to a message, it's saved until your carrier erases it.
• Retrieving Messages from another phone.

Delete a message

1. Swipe or tap the message.
2. Tap Delete.

Listen to a deleted message

1. Tap Deleted Messages (at the end of the list).
2. Tap the message.

Undelete a message

1. Tap Deleted Messages (at the end of the list).
2. Tap the message.
3. Tap Undelete.

Delete messages permanently

1. Tap Deleted Messages (at the end of the list).
2. Tap Clear All.
